Scholarships
Scholarships:
The scholarships have been set at $12,000/year based on the estimated annual cost of attending FSU (approximately $10,350/year for in-state undergraduate students). This includes tuition and fees, room, board, and books. This amount is roughly equivalent to either a Homeland Security Fellowship and a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Scholarship (app. $14,000 with added requirements of 10-week summer internship). The Scholarship allows the recipient to either commit to a period of teaching in a high-needs school, or to repay the full dollar amount of the loan within six years in lieu of the teaching commitment.
Recipients will receive $12,000 for each scholarship/academic year.
Eligible students may apply:
Application Due Date: April 19, 2013
Students will receive their half of the award each semester.
